Before 1994 among self supporting Engineering colleges in Andhra Pradesh only a few have offered a B.E degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. To meet the ever growing demand for electrical power plants of larger capacities, and also as there are many power plants in pipe line in both the government and private sector. Sensing the necessity to raise the human resources in this area , this department is offering a course in electrical and electronics engineering in B.E level since 1994.the department is committed to produce well trained electrical graduates .the department has got ISO:9000 certification and AICTE accreditation.
 

Seven batches have successfully completed their course and are place well in India and abroad. The laboratories required for the department are fully equipped. Every year new equipment is added to the laboratory as the need arises. The department has acquired excellence in the areas of power systems and power electronics .we have well trained and committed faculty .we have applied for a PG course in the field of Power systems and Power electronics.

Seminars and workshops conducted. We have successfully organized national level paper presentation contest “ ELECTRET”
