The CBIT Library and Information Center has a sprawling collection of books and journals to facilitate students and faculty in pursuing their academic and research activities. A new spacious independent two floor building with an area of 18,500 sq. ft., housing a collection of 52,313 volumes of books, was opened in November 2005.

Automation:
CBIT – Library & Information Centre is partially automated its operations. It is using LibSys: an Integrated Library Automation Software Package for the House keeping operations. There are 15 Computers which are connected though a Local Area Network. Six Computers are provided for the Online Public Access Catalogue, through which the Students and Staff can find out about the availability and the status of the documents/ books.

Future Plans:

• Complete automation of the Library House keeping operations with campus LAN.
• WEBOPAC: Online access to the library database through Internet / web - Digital Library to access the digital resources.
• E- Learning centre to provide the Lecture Notes and study materials to the students.
• Resource Centre for the Engineering and Management studies.
